"Always caring, always sharing." That's certainly true of Hospice by the Sea's volunteers. Our volunteer family is nearly 400 people strong. This wonderful team ranges in age from 15 to 93, and provides more than 37,000 hours of invaluable support a year.
We have a valued place for you. Our opportunities are just as individual as you are. They include a broad span of patient care, administrative activities, and special events in locations throughout Palm Beach and Broward counties: - Patient Care and Companionship – Spend quality social and recreational time with patients, or help with simple caregiving tasks, or maintain supportive contact with the family.
- Office Assistance – Help us with administrative duties in our Boca Raton office.
- Fundraising and Events – Serve as greeters, and help with administrative duties.
- Pet Visitation – Brighten a patient's day with a visit from you and your special canine friend.
- Jack's Café in the Boca Raton Care Center – Greet customers, stock supplies, take food orders, and ring up sales.
- Hospice by the Sea Chest Thrift Shop – Sort, price and display merchandise, and help with customer sales and service.
- For Teens, 15 and older – Earn community service hours performing clerical duties.
