Estate Planning Opportunities
The ways to make a planned gift to Hospice by the Sea are numerous. Just as numerous are the variety of benefits offered through planned giving. A planned gift can return an immediate tax deduction to you, provide lifetime income for you and a loved one, and cost you nothing during your lifetime. Speak with your attorney or financial advisor about using planned giving to maximize your personal financial goals and to support the mission of Hospice by the Sea.
Paid-Up Life Insurance
Paid-up life insurance that you no longer need can be a wonderful planned gift and may provide you with a significant tax deduction.
Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds
Donating stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares that have appreciated in value are a wonderful way to support us. You may receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stocks or shares and avoid paying capital gains tax on any increase in their value.
Gifts of Real Estate
We welcome gifts of undeveloped property, commercial buildings and residences that are free of liens and environmental hazards. Real estate that is not providing you with needed income can make an excellent gift to Hospice by the Sea. Gifts of real estate can allow you to take a charitable income tax deduction for the full market value, avoid capital gains taxes, and escape the expense and work of selling the property.

No matter what your age, skills, or time commitment, we have a valued place for you. Our volunteer opportunities are just as individual as you are. They include a broad span of patient care and administrative activities, in locations throughout Palm Beach and Broward counties.

Donor Recognition and Benefits
Thoughtful and big-hearted persons who financially support Hospice by the Sea will be recognized for their generosity. Donors of significant annual gifts of money, in-kind services or volunteered time will join Hospice by the Sea's Circle of Friends. Our Leadership Legacy Society honors individuals from whom we receive bequests. We also have projects under consideration that will provide NAMING OPPORTUNITIES for major gifts.
