Expanding programs to become "the hospice of choice." 

Today, our staff of more than 600 employees and over 400 volunteers care for more than 4,000 hospice patients a year, and touch tens of thousands of lives through our support of their families and friends and our outreach to the community at large.

Our programs, services, and operations continue to expand and evolve to meet the dynamic needs of those we serve.  In 2008, we changed the name and focus of our home health agency, began a new palliative care program, broadened the offerings in our complementary therapies program, launched a foundation, and committed training and educational resources to the start of a hospice in Ghana through our Matthew 25 Project.

Our vision for Hospice by the Sea, Inc. is to become the “hospice of choice” in Palm Beach and Broward counties and the leading community resource for issues related to the care of seriously and progressively ill patients and their families.  We will distinguish ourselves through innovative programs, offering a continuum of patient care services as well as supportive programs for all community caregivers.  We will continue to build upon our core service, hospice care, by further integrating complementary and alternative therapies into our program.  We will remain committed to our Mission and Values while responsive to the changing needs of the community by increasing educational resources and support for the caregivers of progressively ill patients; growing our palliative care program offerings and expanding our holistic, interdisciplinary, disease management approach to home health agency services.  We will responsibly manage expenses to ensure a fiscally sound operation capable of serving an increasing number of families each year.
