Hospice by the Sea, Inc. (HBTS) is a not-for-profit, community-based provider of hospice care, palliative care, caregiver support, bereavement counseling and home health agency services throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties in South Florida.  

Our Mission is to honor life, offer care and comfort with dignity and ease the burdens of all patients, caregivers and families enduring the challenges of a serious and progressive illness.

We carry out our Mission by:

• Providing the highest quality medical care for our patients, as well as psychosocial and spiritual support for our patients, their families and caregivers regardless of age, race, creed, diagnosis or ability to pay
• Coordinating our services in response to the holistic needs of our patients, caregivers and families while respecting individual choices, values and beliefs
• Demonstrating our commitment to the communities we serve by remaining responsive to multicultural and changing needs
• Advancing the practice of palliative care through education and advocacy

Hospice by the Sea is fully licensed by the State of Florida, and certified by Medicare and Medicaid. We are also accredited by The Joint Commission, the national gold standard for the quality of care and safety of patients. Additionally, we are certified by the Palm Beach County Board of Rabbis.

Hospice by the Sea is a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and Florida Hospices and Palliative Care, Inc.
